Howdy Challengers!!!
Wow - what FANTASTIC results for the first week!!! CONGRATULATIONS CHALLENGERS!!!
Aside from my result (not my best work)... everyone has had a brilliant week of achievement and you should all be very proud of yourselves!!!! I know where I went wrong and in the week ahead will certainly be amending my ways... I just like wine so much though....
In my case it was a sheer lack of willpower, determinatoin and planning - in failing to plan I set myself up for planning to fail.
One of the best things you can do in order reach your goals is plan ahead and be prepared.
If for example you have set yourself an exercise challenge, look at the week ahead and schedule in the times you plan to be active. If you have a water drinking challenge (eg. 2L per day), keep a 1L bottle handy and know that you have to get through it just twice per day. The trick then is sticking to it! Which is where the Half Dozen Challenge can play a part in helping to keep you mindful of what your goals are.
Getting organised helps reinforce a positive planning habits; plus it has the added benefit of allowing you to think very consciously about what you're doing AND you feel great when you achieve what you set out to.
Being prepared takes determination and effort, but in short, it can be vital to your success.
So this week I'm planning to WIN!!!
Have a brilliant week team!!

THE NEW YEARS RESOLUTION ROUND... 19th January - 15th March
Howdy folks!
Aaahhh another year has snuck up on us! How quickly the time flies huh!?
I'm not actually one to make new years resolutions myself, but the title seemed fitting as and I know a lot of people view the start of a new year as a significant time for a fresh start or a chance to review things they would like to change or do for themselves.
So I'll give you a moment to let you all settle back into the daily grind and routines before kicking off the next round.... which will start on WEDNESDAY 19th JANUARY and run for 8 weeks, with the final check in day being TUESDAY 15th MARCH.
For anyone who hasn't been here before, The Half Dozen Challenge is something that came about initially during a personal weight loss journey. I found it was easier to work towards my overall goal by putting in place some specific targets to help me along the way. This was made easier again by breaking down those goals down into bite-sized chunks. I found by doing this, they became even easier to achieve. Simple!
It felt really good each week when when I coloured in all the boxes on my chart and had a real sense of achievement that spurred me on to continue aiming for that end result. On the flip side, if I hadn't coloured in everything I set out to, there was the reminder right in front of me that I had let some things slide and that I needed to re-focus in those areas.
It has now morphed for me into more of an overall personal challenge - things I aspire to achieve or create habits in different areas of my life that are significant at the time - whether its health, wealth, wellbeing, work..... Have a read under the tab "The Aim & Getting Started" for all the info you need to get started should you wish to participate.
The goals are best to have a weekly target as this is a bit easier to monitor and you can see your goals broken down into manageable, bite sized pieces.
I look forward to receiving your personal challenge at halfdozenchallenge@ymail.com before the kickoff date.
