The Aim & Getting Started

**Currently undertaking the MIND, BODY, SOUL HALF DOZEN - trialling a new style of challenging the team into developing healthier habits.  See here  for more info**

THE AIM
The aim of the challenge is to come up with HALF A DOZEN things that you personally would like to form a habit in or something specific you wish achieve over the 8-week time frame.

Each person decides for themselves what the areas are in their lives they would like to improve on and set themselves targets, with specific measures.  The goals don’t have to be fitness related, the main aim is to form some positive habits that will lead to a healthier you – whether that be mind, body or soul.

Some examples of past personal goals are;
-Go to the gym 4 times per week
-Study min 4 hours per week
-Meditate 5 mins daily
-Read 2 books over the challenge time frame
-40 sit ups 3 times per week
-Practice an instrument 3 times a week
-Drink 6 glasses of water every day
-In bed by 11pm twice a week (harder than it sounds LOL – that was one of mine)
-Walk the dog 4 times per week
-Eat one piece of fruit every day
-No alcohol 3 days a week
-Take a multivitamin every day
-Put aside $5 a week towards a reward at the end of the challenge (gotta have some perks – although this one I put in as a bonus – more of a reward for if you achieve full marks each week)

I'VE DECIDED ON MY CHALLENGES - NOW WHAT?!
Once you have decided on what your half dozen challenges are, you need to email them through to me at halfdozenchallenge@ymail.com then I will send out your personalised challenge check sheet to print off and stick on the fridge at home, carry round in your wallet, save to your desktop at work – whatever works best for you – as long as you fill it in daily (or you know, when you remember!).

CHECK IN DAY!!
Wednesday is the start of our Challenge weeks.  Each Tuesday I will send a reminder for you to email through your updated challenge check sheet.  I hold a master copy and from this I then create an update on everyone’s progress in the form of a neat chart like the one below!
So although it’s a personal challenge, you feel a bit spurred on knowing that other people will be able to see what percentage of your weekly tasks you are achieving.
